Quick Cashew Cream

Substituting heavy cream can be easier then thought. If you have raw cashews at hand you can have a cream substitute in ad little as an hour, but you’ll only have to pay attention for 5 minutes.

Ingredients

1CRaw unsalted Cashews
2CWater
1pinchSalt

Directions

  1. To start bring 1 ½ cups of water to a boil, cover cashews and soak for 1 hour.
  2. Then drain and rinse cashews.
  3. In a high speed blender add your cashews, pinch of salt, and some of the remaining water and blend until everything is really smooth.

the cashew cream is ready to use at this point in place of heavy cream for almost all recipes.
